Andrew and Aaron Harrison are two of the highest rated guards in the class of 2013. The Houston natives possess a rare combination of speed, height, and strength for their position that makes them two of the more intriguing prospects in the country, regardless of class. The Harrison twins caught up with C2C Hoops to discuss how their recruiting process is going.
Q: What's improved most about your game this summer?
Aaron: Mentally, just staying in the game and keeping my head in the game.
Andrew: Just being a leader and becoming a better point guard. Just trying to control the game.
Q: Who are your top schools right now?
Aaron: Kentucky, Villanova, Maryland, Texas, and Baylor. We have unofficials planned to all those schools. I'm not really sure about the dates yet.
Q: What are your impressions of UK and John Calipari?
Aaron: Coach Calipari told my brother and I that he likes our style of play, and we like their style of play so that makes Kentucky one of our top choices. Coach Cal is a straightforward guy and he's honest.
Andrew: I like Coach Calipari. He doesn't sugar coat anything, he just said we need to come in and work hard to get where we want to go. They put guys in the NBA so that's very attractive.
Q: You didn't mention Kansas in that list, are they still coming after you?
Aaron: Yeah, we still like Kansas a lot. We've talked to Kansas recently too, I didn't list them just now but they're still one of my top choices. I like how they play and they're still recruiting us so we're considering them. It's a great program. I talk to Coach Manning a lot.
Q: Any time table on a decision?
Andrew: I'm not going to wait to the last minute to make a decision, but I'm not going to decide anything in the next two weeks either.
